Earlier this month, I unknowingly set the wheels in motion for what led to a buy/sell/trade arrangement amongst friends. And at the end of the day, I landed a new camera.
When I first got my Nikon D90 one year ago, the clouds parted and the angels sang. I was able to learn to shoot in Manual so much more effectively than on my entry-level dSLR.
Since the new D7000 came out a few months ago, I've been drooling over the high-ISO images being shared on my photography forums. (ISO is linked to how sensitive the camera's sensor is to ambient light --the higher the ISO capability/performance of the camera, the more shooting you can do in low-light situations w/out resorting to a flash).

And now I get to play. So in accordance with this week's Project 52 theme, "just for fun", I (1.)cranked my new baby up to ISO 6400 and (2.) allowed Molly to make "soup" in the family room☺. Yes, there is some graininess as can be expected, but I for one love me some gritty black and whites every now and again.
I just love her baby girl potbelly in the last one....those disappear so fast!
