This week's I Heart Faces submissions must be taken with a camera phone...which presents even more of a challenge when your cell is so old you don't know how to retrieve the photos from it(!). Hubby's iPhone to the rescue. As I scrolled through the camera roll, I found one I had forgotten about from last Halloween. My
bumble bee and ladybug, tuckered out from trick-or-treating and insisting Daddy carry them while I trailed behind, pulling their wagon full of loot. I love the grittiness of the photo... how all you really notice is the yellow & black and black & red... and two little rag-dolls seeking comfort in their daddy's arms.

This has been such a fun week to browse through
entries...
No fancy SLRs striving for perfect focus/exposure/color; instead, just real moments captured.

ReplyDeleteHi Christina! Thanks for looking around my blog! :)
ReplyDeleteAbout the wreath, I just read a tutorial somewhere out in blogland and then made some minor adjustments to mine. I used straight pins instead of hot glue (I believe this is the best decision I could have made... I have heard of some serious hot glue burns from this project!)... this also gave me the ability to move things around as I saw fit. I used one old book and one much newer book (completely different sized books, too) just for the color variation and my husband and I both agree that's what we love most about ours.
The other major thing I changed is that I folded (without creasing) mine into a "fan" instead of rolling it into a cone like most I've seen. I hope that helps! I make these all the time for gifts, so maybe I'll do a tutorial one of these days!
(Apologies for such a lengthy comment!)
